The Trafalgar Tavern, Greenwich

Sarah and Teddy’s wedding at The Trafalgar Tavern in Greenwich was full of warmth, laughter and genuine connections. Set against the river with the venue’s historic character all around, the day felt relaxed, joyful and deeply personal from start to finish.

The morning began with Sarah getting ready at the Hilton in Greenwich, wearing a beautiful Catherine Deane dress. Down at the riverside, Teddy greeted guests as everyone gathered for the ceremony in the Nelson Room, where the iconic windows filled the space with soft light. After they were married, we took a short couples walk around the nearby Old Royal Naval College, giving them a moment together as newlyweds and creating some of their favourite portraits from the day.

Back at the Trafalgar, the drinks reception was brought to life by a roaming band, which gave the whole afternoon a lively, easy atmosphere. Guests then moved into the Dreadnaught Room for the wedding breakfast, with banquet tables and bud-vase florals setting the scene, followed by moving speeches from Teddy’s mum and Sarah’s dad. Afterwards, Sarah and Teddy slipped away for a few minutes on the iconic balcony for portraits before heading back in to celebrate, and they danced late into the evening with their guests to the DJ.

The Trafalgar Tavern is such a rewarding venue to photograph because it offers so much variety in one place, from elegant interiors and riverside light to those instantly recognisable Greenwich views. For us as photographers, it is the perfect balance of atmosphere, character and modern charm.

Kind words from the couple.

We wanted the photographs to feel natural and honest, and Chloe and Joe made the whole experience feel calm from start to finish.

On the day they blended in so easily, captured moments we never would have seen ourselves, and gave us photographs that take us straight back to how it all felt.
